Support » Plugin: Mailchimp for WooCommerce » Unable to save API Key (plugin update did not resolve it)

    (@fenosc)

Hi, I have the same issue as the one reported here, but I couldn’t have it solved with the current version of the plugin. Also, my MySQL version is newer than 5.6 as per drequest from MailChimp support in that thread.

Summary: I paste the API Key into MailChimp Settings, hit save, get green success message but cannot see the Locale Settings nor is the key in there. It is as if I didn’t save anything.

    Hey @fenosc,

Thanks so much for providing all of this detailed information. I’d like to help investigate this with you.

Looking over the site details, I can see that you do meet all of the minimum requirements for the plugin to function as expected. From here, I’d like to see if there are any possible plugin conflicts causing this behavior.

Could you try temporarily deactivating all active plugins on the site except for WooCommerce and MailChimp For WooCommerce? From there, can you try walking through these steps again and let us know if the issue persists?

Thanks in advance for this. I’ll keep an eye out for your reply.

I’m having this exact same issue, was it resolved?

    Hey @rubious

The issue that @fenosc has not been resolved yet as we’re still waiting to hear back on some troubleshooting information. That said, if you’re seeing this issue as well I would definitely like to investigate further. If possible, can you take the troubleshooting steps mentioned above as well as include screenshots from your WooCommerce System Status page? This guide details where you find this to help confirm the site meets minimum requirements: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/understanding-the-woocommerce-system-status-report/

Thanks in advance! I’ll keep eyes on this thread so we troubleshoot further.

Hi, I tried deactivating everything but it still does not work. I meet the minimum requirements. Any idea what could be wrong?

    Hey @rubious

Thanks for following up to let us know. In this case, I’d like to pass your information over to our development team as we have seen a few cases of this occur where the issue continues to persist. In order to accurately report this over, I’ll need a copy of the WooCommerce System Status report for your site. If you have a chance to share that in a reply, I’d like to pass this along to our team.

Thanks in advance. Let me know if you have any questions.

Using a different API key seemed to do the trick – not sure why that is.

    Hey @rubious,

Thanks for keeping us in the loop! Glad to hear that a new API key did the trick here.

If you do happen to see this issue crop up again in the future, feel free to reach back out. We’re here to help.
