[Resolved] Unable to publish recurring event

    This was working fine a few weeks ago, and I am not sure what might have happened in the meantime, but, now, when I try to publish a recurring event, it does not appear in the events list, and when I view it in the recurring events table it is marked as “draft”. So I am guessing some error occurred when I clicked publish. Does anyone have a suggestion for how find the error message and/or debug this issue?

    did you upgraded any of your plugin, theme or uses custom em function in your theme functions.php which might cause the issue? also, can I know what is your current EM version?

    Yes, I changed many things.
    My current version is 5.5.2
    Is there anywhere that I can look for error messages?

    These kind of errors won’t be logged, unfortunately. What version of WordPress are you using?

    Do you have any problems with publishing single events?

    WordPress 3.8

    No problem publishing a single events. But I found that my last recurring event did get published as events. (I must have overlooked this earlier). However the recurring event listing is still showing “draft” in the title. The word “draft” is not present when viewing the title in the editor, only when I click on the “recurring events” in the admin panel.

    Just make sure I follow – the recurring event publishes ok, but it always shows as draft in admin?

    Yes, that’s a good summary. I haven’t probed heavily, but that appears to be the only (visible) issue.

    Is it possible that some other plugin is interfering with save_post?

    yes, that is also possible however to confirm you can try the following steps temporarily

    – deactivating all other plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems

    Sorry I should have closed this earlier. I tried deactivating plugins without success, so I just assumed the database was screwed up. Then I uninstalled the plugin, re-installed it and after rebuilding my events I have not seen the problem since.
