Unable to post video content

    For some reason, I am unable to post video content on my site – http://linuxbsdos.com. I first noticed it several months ago with my old theme, but never bothered about it because I seldom post video content.

    However, even with a new theme, I still am unable to post any youtube videos.

    Any clues?

    Have you tried placing the YouTube embed code inside a <div></div> ?

    I did not think that could be necessary. Videos play just fine on my other site.

    In any case, I just tried it, and it did not work.

    WordPress has built in oEmbed support. To post a video from youtube, just paste the normal YouTube video URL on a line all by itself.

    Alternatively, use the embed shortcode.

    [embed]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ[/embed]

    Thanks, the embed method worked. The thing that still bothers me is that raw youtube code works on my other site, but not this one.

    Anyway, happy that it now works.
