    Hi all,

I have been trying to optimize the Web Application Firewall. I’ve tried both the automatic and the alternative methods.

The wordfence-waf.php file is present in my WordPress root directory.

The line auto_prepend_file = '/home/myuser/public_html/wordfence-waf.php' is present in my php.ini file.

I can verify from Wordfence=>Tools=>Diagnostics=>”Click to view your system’s configuration in a new window” that the value of the “auto_prepend_file” directive is /home/myuser/public_html/wordfence-waf.php (both local and master value).

So, all seems correctly set. However, Wordfence still shows that only Basic Protection is enabled, i.e. the WAF is not optimized.

I have a WordPress multisite, version 4.8. Wordfence is version 6.3.12 and is activated on the network level. PHP version is 7.1.6.

Is there anything I am missing?

    Thanks!
