  • Hi all,

    The website is hosted on Godaddy server.

    Last week on browsing the website I was notified to update some plugins and WordPress 5.4, update plugins without problem but unable to update WordPress 5.4. Afterwards it came to present situation.

    On browser running: childhood.reynoldstocks.com

    Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined method WP_Site_Health::get_instance() in /home/ufth6i821ecd/public_html/childhood/wp-settings.php:372 Stack trace: #0 /home/ufth6i821ecd/public_html/childhood/wp-config.php(101): require_once() #1 /home/ufth6i821ecd/public_html/childhood/wp-load.php(37): require_once('/home/ufth6i821...') #2 /home/ufth6i821ecd/public_html/childhood/wp-blog-header.php(13): require_once('/home/ufth6i821...') #3 /home/ufth6i821ecd/public_html/childhood/index.php(17): require('/home/ufth6i821...') #4 {main} thrown in /home/ufth6i821ecd/public_html/childhood/wp-settings.php on line 372

    There has been a critical error on your website.

    Also I’m unable starting the login page to admin

    childhood.reynoldstocks.com/wp-admin/
    same warning.

    I have tried deactivating all plugins through Godaddy cPanel -> File Manager
    but without solution.

    I have All-in-One WP Migration plugin installed on this website. Also I have backup there which was created about 5 months ago. Please advise how to login the website to start RESTORE getting back to previous version.

    Thanks

    Regards

  • Hi!

    It looks like something was gone wrong in update process.
    Doesn’t your hosting has several backups from last couple of weeks? It’s usual for most hostings. If they are there you can try to restore files and database.

    If not, you can update WordPress manually, see here:

    I have backup and export files of “All-in-One WP Migration” download on my desktop PC.

    My problem here is unable to login the website.

    Any help? Thanks in advance.

    You don’t have to login in Admin to restore your site if your hosting has backup it just several clicks. And you don’t need to log in to do a manual update, you will need access to ftp and to database. All these are provided by hosting.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your advice. Host only provides periodical backups which maybe differ from the backup created by me.

    Finally I figure out with following solution;
    1) Say e.g the subdomain of the problematic website is aaa.domain.com
    2) Create a staging website with bbb.domain.com
    3) Install All-in-One WP Migration plugin
    4) Upload the backup file from local PC to the staging website
    5) Restore the backup running Import on All-in-One WP Migration.

    It works without problem. The whole website is alive, only needing some minor adjustment, e.g. some links of the video on webpage missing. I have to recreate them.

    It saves me time digging around for solution. The only remaining problem is to rename bbb.domain.com back to aaa.domain. However if without a solution, in the worst case, I just delete the website of aaa.domain.com and recreate a new website on it cloned on bbb.domain.com

    Anyway lot of thanks for your advice.

    Regards
