Unable to log in to admin

  • one of our admins did something and now none of us are able to log in under admin user profile. Is there a way to find out what happened?

  • I usually recommend having a separate account with admin privileges for cases like this.

    If you just need to reset the password, use phpMyAdmin to access your WordPress database. Go to the wp_users table and you can manually change the password there. Or you can manually change the account privileges of a different account in the wp_usermeta table. Just find the wp_capabilities meta key and change the matching meta value.
