What’s the URL (web address) you are using which returns a 404 error?
I used your link and the server is not being found.
This generally means that the Domain Name Servers (DNS) have not be updated yet – it can take hours or longer.
It may be your responsibility go to the domain set up and enter a pointer to the hosted site.
Can you access the site via FTP?
Contact the company where you registered the domain and ask them about the problem.
I just did a WhoIs, at https://www.whois.net/, on your domain name and got the following:
taxsharks.tax is available
I did a WhoIs at the registrer I use and it also shows that the domain name is available:
Are you sure that you registered the domain name taxsharks.tax?
If you did register it, how long ago was it registered?
Since it is not found with a WhoIs inquiry the company through whom you registered it may not have actually registered the domain name yet.
Check with them.
I was able to get the nameserver issue corrected and now my hosting is with BigScoots. I’m trying to login to my wordpress admin site for the first time, but keep getting the 404 error page. Any suggestions on how to fix this? My domain is http://www.taxshark.tax.
