Unable to import theme/plugin data

    I am using xampp v3.2.2 to host a wordpress install (v4.9.4) on my local machine. The site runs fine but I am unable to import plugin config data that I have exported from my live site.

    Example: I have Enhanced Media Library plugin, which allows you to export settings to a .json file. When I look at the file in a text editor it has all the media catagories from my live site but, when I use the same plugin to import that file into my local site nothing happens.

    Same thing happens if I export theme settings and later try to import them back in.

    I assume my install/xampp is missing some component but I have no idea what it would be.

    Turn WP_DEBUG on in wp-config.php then have a look at your logs. It might tell you what the issue is, or what module php is missing.
