Support » Plugin: bbp style pack » Unable to have own form-topic.php template

Until recently I have been using bbp style pack and at the same time have had my own altered copy of the form-topic template (form-topic.php is in the bbpress folder in my child theme). A recent update of your plugin has caused the system to ignore my altered version of the template. If I disable your plugin then the template is used again – so I have had no choice but to disable it.

Is this intentional and is there a way around the problem?

yes sorry, I amended some code to accommodate the upcoming 2.6rc7, but since doing this I have discovered that they load templates in different ways, and I need to do some code that detects bbpress versions and executes the correct code.

I plan to do that this weekend.

If needed in the meantime revert to version 4.2.4

    Process:

    go to
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/bbp-style-pack/advanced/

scroll to the bottom ‘Previous Versions’ and select download version 4.2.4 and save to your pc

On your site deactivate and delete bbp style pack (you will not lose settings)

Then in dashboard>plugins>add new> upload plugin upload the version you saved in the download
    Activate

ok, I worked on an update this evening, and have just released version 4.2.7 which should work with both versions

Let me know if this works for you.
