Unable to go full width on home page

We are unable to go full width on home page. We installed health check plugin to test all plugins. No luck. We are using socrates theme and are using the current update. WordPress is also updated to 5.9.2

We also tried the Fullwidth Page Templates plugin. We also de-installed theme and went to twenty twenty theme for testing… the same thing.

We are not using blocks. The classic editor is what we are using.

You’re using a commercial/premium theme/plugin, so please use their official support channel. We feel they are best equipped to support their products.

Yes, I know but we did use the twenty twenty theme for testing purposes same thing. We are awaiting an answer from the theme developer. Please delete this thread if not allowed..

I have reverted back to twenty twenty theme.

Ok, I am now using the twenty twenty WordPress theme. Still have the same issues.

1. Cannot add page/post links into the menu items
2. Cannot make the pages go to “Full Width”.

“full width” is theme dependent. What happens when you try to add an item to the menu? Can you post a screen shot?

REmove those links; they should not show as “custom”.

I have removed numerous times. When I add a new page link to the navigation it shows up

as “menu item……Custom Linkl”.

Also removed Navigation Menu and started over. Same results. And it does matter which Theme I use.

Interesting. That’s not core behavior for a “classic” theme. Disable all plugins and see if you can figure out which is causing that.

I tried that, Steven. But alas the problem remains. I am now sure it is a WordPress core files problem. But where? I am not a coder but very familiar with WordPress and have made numerous websites using WordPress.org themes.

Can you point me to where I might get some help?
