    Yes, 2 www. 's

So, I have 4 WP sites on http://www.unlimitedwebhosting.co.uk and never had an issue as each site was it's own domain and all were seperate subscriptions in plesks panel.

however since they had an upgrade new domains get lumped together so when i registered http://www.lutonlambretta.co.uk it is its own folder in the root of http://www.donniephotgraphy.co.uk so this seems to be screwing up my wp installation :-(

eg i currently get the following

"Warning: require(/var/www/vhosts/donniephotography.co.uk/lutonlambretta.co.uk/wordpress/wp-blog-header.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/vhosts/donniephotography.co.uk/lutonlambretta.co.uk/index.php on line 17

Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required '/var/www/vhosts/donniephotography.co.uk/lutonlambretta.co.uk/wordpress/wp-blog-header.php' (include_path='.:') in /var/www/vhosts/donniephotography.co.uk/lutonlambretta.co.uk/index.php on line 17"

which i know is about sorting the link to wp-blog-header etc but its still not right :-/

    Anyone got any thoughts?

    Hi Donnie,

That method is called add-on domains, so just puts the site folders in the one host account as you mention. It should work for you, so is perhaps a setting needing updating.

Those we host have WordPress installed just on the root, so:
    /var/www/vhosts/donniephotography.co.uk/lutonlambretta.co.uk/

    Which would make wp-blog-header.php:
    /var/www/vhosts/donniephotography.co.uk/lutonlambretta.co.uk/wp-blog-header.php

Whereas your error is looking in a /wordpress/ folder.

I would check your files are in the right folder (so the site name folder) and see if that helps.

Right done that and I can now get it up and working to a degree.

However, im trying to use either the Helix or the black/white theme preferably from http://blog.hhcolorlab.com/photography-themes/wordpress-for-photographers-black-and-white/ and I can load them but I cant get the background images to work at all, they upload and i set it all up right but they never show, same when putting a custom header image up or when i try to change the background colour so I suspect there's another bug due to the way the themes trying to call up these background processes, however I just cant figure it out?

If you might happen to know how i can fix it that'd be great, failing this I'll start a new help thread and see if anyone else can help

Glad that helped on the first issue.

Is there a page I can see on the site with an image not showing? It might be its looking in the wrong place for the image.

The other option is perhaps the file permissions on the uploads folder aren't quite right. Are you able to add media and insert into a post/page OK?

Yes adding media is fine and same for inserting into pages, but using the black/white theme customiser i can add the images for the background slider and it's in the library but theres no slideshow at all showing.

I have it set to be visable in all pages of the site so if youre not seeing a slideshow of background images then it's not working :-(

    http://www.lutonlambretta.co.uk is the main site

I accidentally found this while looking for a solution with the same issue.

I host 3 wordpress sites with Unlimited but with their upgrade to Plesk have exactly the same issue.

I am also using the Helix theme on one of the sites and can not get the background images loading either.

Ideally I would like to keep the account with Unlimited as they have really good support and have helped me in the past but testing the sites on cPanel with https://www.bestwebhosting.co.uk the sites look to load fine so this has to be caused by Plesk and the way it handles paths.

Did you manage to get Helix working with background images at all?

    Thanks.

    Danny.
