On the Yoast settings page I always find this notification:

“We see that you enabled automatic updates for WordPress. We recommend that you do this for Yoast SEO as well. This way we can guarantee that WordPress and Yoast SEO will continue to run smoothly together. Go to your plugins overview to enable auto-updates for Yoast SEO.”

There is no way to hide it. I hide it but it reappears after some time (some page reloads, some backend changes).

It is also very annoying because it causes the red balloon to appear in the sidebar of the backend, generating stress and inattention.

    How to solve?

(it happens to me on various sites all updated to the latest version, so I assume it’s a bug of this version)

@marcopanichi We’re sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue on your site.

Are you using any other type of plugin to manage updates on the site where this is occurring or is that feature exclusively controlled by the built in WordPress feature?

    Hi Devnihil,

I don’t use any plugin to manage update (never used).

If you deactivate the Yoast SEO plugin temporarily and clear cache, then reactivate does the issue persist?

    Hi Maybellyne,

I don’t have any cache plugin; I’ve tried to deactivate and reactivate the plugin but the problem persists, see https://i2.paste.pics/e7d9e020567d5cd5ff62f09855384c6e.png

    Hi,

After clicking on the ‘eye with a slash’ icon, does it move to the hidden notifications as expected?

Is there any way to reliably reproduce how it appears as an active notification again? Is it just after reloading the page or does it occur with each plugin update?
