[resolved] Unable to Enable Multisite (2 posts)

I am using a version of WordPress that was originally installed without Multisite functionality. We now wish to install BuddyPress and allow users to create their own blogs & profiles...etc. Their documentation says that we need the Multisite feature enabled, so we set about making this happen.

I opened up the wp-config.php file and added the required define(‘WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE’, true); above the "Stop editing" line.

This have me a "Network Setup" choice under the Tools menu just as it was supposed to.

When I try to use this selection I get the following warning:
"Warning: Please deactivate your plugins before enabling the Network feature."

As a result, I am unable to continue with the setup, and make the necessary modifications to my .htaccess file to get this working...etc.

I have seen this mentioned a few times in the forums, but there haven't been and real solutions for it. Does anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!

This did indeed require all plugins to be deactivated before the setup could be continued. Once this was done, Network Setup continued normally.
