[resolved] Unable to drag the TEXT button into sidebar of widgets (7 posts)

I do feel very frustrated, the TEXT button next to VISUAL buttn doesn't work, so I have to go into users - profile - and disable the WYSIWIG editor manually. Now I find when I want to put a widget into the sidebar, I am unable to do either. When I updated my website I just used the usual UPDATE BUTTON, which I have always used, and never had this bother before. Is there anyway I can go back to version 3.4 until these bugs are fixed? Please let me know if this is possible, or how I can get around these difficulties. Thank you very much

  2. These issues all sound javascript related.

Have you tried deactivating ALL of your plugins and MANUALLY clearing your browser cache?

The bugs are not in WP... rather, they are most likely in the plugins you are using.

I have deactivated all my plugins, but don't know how to manually clear my browser cache. Can you give me an instruction on how to do this. Thank you for your help.

We don't know which browser you're using. You'll have to use a search engine to explore how this is accomplished with your browser.

At least on a PC I think Ctrl F5 will clear all browsers but if you are running a caching plugin, you would clear that from the dashboard.

Hi Thank you very much, I have managed to clear my browser cache history - google gave me the instruction - and I am up and running. The plugin that gave all the trouble was 'image presser'. That is for anyone else who has that plugin on board and is having similar problems. Thank you once again for your help - I think the matter is all resolved now.

  7. @Peckerpac,

Thanks for coming back and letting us know. The update to 3.5 has caused some issues with many plugins.

I'm glad to see you are up and running.
