Support » Plugin: The Events Calendar » Unable to download plugin

Recently, the Events Calendar plugin stopped working. In plugins list, the Events Calendar plugin is not displayed.
I attempted to reinstall the plugin but it continues to fail, saying ‘Installation failed: Destination folder already exists.’

I do not have access to a cPanel because I have a Managed WordPress package with GoDaddy.

Can you all assist me in resolving this issue, making the plugin and its functions available to me again?

  • Hey there @tjohnson4355!

Thanks for reaching out — sorry to hear that you are experiencing difficulties.

Are you able to access the plugins directory via FTP?

the-events-calendar folder needs to be deleted in order for a fresh copy to be installed. You can also click inactive on your plugins page, if filters are active, it may only be showing you active plugins. Each inactive plugin will have a delete link for removal.

    Hope that helps!

    Hey there,
