Unable to delete the default 'admin' user

    It is regarded as a good security precaution to delete the default user called admin. When trying to do this, our server works for a while, then the webserver becomes unavailable, and afterward, the admin user is still there.

    Note that this happens after I changed the ownership of all posts and pages that previously belonged to the user called admin, though there might be other types of content still in the imperishable admin’s ownership.

    have you tried just changing the name of the default user? The one in the database with the id of 1?

    Go to your phpmyadmin. in the table wp_users, When you find the admin account, change the user_login value to whatever you want. For example you can replace ‘admin’ to ‘bob’

    hit “go” and that should be it.
