I just installed the plug in and imported records using your instructions. It went fine except that my csv file had some empty lines – about 20 – so I have some records in my Participants List that are empty except for Private IDs.
I have been trying to delete them by selecting them – check boxes – and choosing delete from the drop down and apply. Nothing happens. No sign of the site working on it. Nothing. Help!

This sounds like an issue with the javascript, possibly caused by another plugin. Normally, there would be a confirmation pop-up you need to click to get it going.

Try opening the browser development tools and go to the “console” panel. Try to delete a record. There should be some indication what the problem is.

    Hi
    no confirmation popup appears
looked at FF Dev Tools Inspector panels and did not see anything but don’t really know what to look for.
I am not getting any messages from FF about Popups being blocked.
When I hit the Apply button a ? mark partially appears on the left edge of the page and unless/until I reload the page the other selection fields no longer work ie: I cannot change the sort order or use any of the other page controls.
Hope this feedback helps you troubleshoot the issue.
Perhaps you can tell me where to look in the FF Inspector panel or tell me how to send you the output?
    Thanks

This certainly sounds like another plugin is affecting the CSS that places the confirmation box in the center of the screen. It’s moving the box off the screen so you can’t see it.

The way to fix this (other than deactivate the plugin that’s causing the problem) is probably to add some CSS rules to the Custom Admin CSS setting in the plugin. I can’t tell you what the CSS should be, you will need to first try to delete a field, then while that dialog box is locking you out of other actions, find it in the inspector and see what CSS rules are causing the problem. You would then need to add your own rules to get the dialog box back where you can see it.

    Hi
I’m not up to the task of doing what you suggested at the moment but your response told me that I could probably just hit the Enter Key to tell it to go.
It worked – I was able to delete the extra records.
BTW – the only other plugins I have installed on this site are:
Akismet Anti-Spam, Contact Form 7, Flamingo & Honeypot for Contact Form 7

    Thanks

The problem could be your theme too. If you can’t figure it out, email me at support@xnau.com

    The Theme is Twenty Seventeen
Since I was able to delete records by just hitting enter I was able to move forward.
    Thanks
