Support » Fixing WordPress » Unable to delete non-default link category

No matter how many times I try deleting, it always reappears when I refresh. My settings look fine.
Where exactly are you talking about?
In http://www.delectablychic.com/links/, there’s a section called “Contributors” which does not have any links. I cannot get rid of “Contribtors” from the Link Categories section. I have been able to delete other categories, however.
As far as I know you can delete the default category.
What I would try is to rename that category to one of that you want to use. Then move all those links to that category.
That way the default category is a category you are using and you wouldnt have to delete it.
Aaron: That’s the thing. The category I’m trying to delete is NOT the default category!
Ahh I misread.
Well what I would do is login to the database and delete it from there to see what happens. That probably isn’t the best way but that is just what I would try next.
Sounds complicated. Decided to change category name. Makes things easier!
