Unable to delete inactive plugins after being hacked (2 posts)

I am unable to delete a number of plugins that are inactive in my word press admin account.

I recently discovered that my account was hacked on July 7th 2013 and an admin user was added to the network admins. (naturally I deleted straight away) I have done the usual (remove admin username, change all passwords, install security plugin, monitored and blocked problematic IP addresses).

Today I even did a restore from back on 2nd August. Then realised that the hack occurred prior to that so I restored it back to todays version. Which is when the extra plugins that I had deleted a few days ago re-appeared. I can now no longer delete them.

    Any help is appreciated :)

Got to your server via FTP and rename your plugins folder to something like plugouts to deactivate all plugins, then go into that folder and altogether delete all of them since you have no idea what corruption/s might reside there...then restore that folder's name and just leave it empty while returning to Tara's list here, of course:
