unable to delete drafts in 2.6x

I am unable to delete drafts in as shown in manage–>posts view.

I can check them and click delete button but nothing happens.

The screen goes blank (another problem)

And I have to hit the back button (another problem)

And the drafts are still there even if I refresh at the blank page and reload the admin–>manage–>posts page

Not to mention the Select pull down bar and entery form to right wandering off the right hand part of the screen on on mac and windows.

I wonder if these are vestiges left over from problems encountered in transfer of large site )1650+ posts) from one host to bluehost?

Would these niggling problems go away with install of 2.7?
