unable to customize display

    I’m unable to customize the position of the caption and nav buttons on the slider in use on this page.

    Using “Inspect Element” in a browser, disabling position-absolute in the .caption css, the text and nav buttons drop down into an acceptable position.

    However, when that change is made to style.css in the child theme folder, nothing happens.

    Please advise,
