Brand new install of wordpress on server with several other websites running wordpress and jetpack.

All plugins disabled, twentyseventeen theme activated.

    Running PHP 7

I am getting the following error in the admin:

Error Details: The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site http://www.teatensil.com [HTTP 405]. Ask your web host if they allow connections from WordPress.com. If you need further assistance, contact Jetpack Support: http://jetpack.com/support/

  • Sorry about the delay in writing back to you. I’m not quite sure what’s going on here but when we try to make a request to this file:

    https://www.teatensil.com/xmlrpc.php

    It’s redirecting to a local IP 127.0.0.1

This file is used by Jetpack and other plugins and apps to connect to your site. It must return the following message:
XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.

You can see a working example here:

    http://jetpack.com/xmlrpc.php

Could you check for anything that may be redirecting the file to a local IP?
