    Good day everyone

So i was trying to edit the footer of the theme of my marketplace. After i clicked update i got this message

“Unable to communicate back with site to check for fatal errors, so the PHP change was reverted. You will need to upload your PHP file change by some other means, such as by using SFTP”

and it seems like the site theme crashed, i am only getting a blank screen.

Iv done everything for the past 6 hours. Changed themes, disabled and enabled themes and i am still getting the same screen with content that just disappeared

    Any help please

    How do i fix this

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @thandohlomuka93

I’m not sure how this is related to our Custom Sidebars plugin.

Could you give us more info on what kind of steps you have made on your site correctly?

So I was trying to edit the footer of the theme of my marketplace.

Does that mean you tried to edit your footer.php file via Appearance -> Theme Editor? If so what kind of change was that? Was that HTML or PHP change?

Also, I see your site source display correctly, apart from that the site does not display at all. I doubt this could be some PHP code issue you have added there.

If you have any kind of backup of your site, please try to restore it. If that does not help, please try to post your issue on this forum:

    Hi @thandohlomuka93,

Glad to hear you managed to sort it out, I will mark this ticket as resolved but if you have any followup questions feel free to reopen it.

    Cheers,
