    Where are you trying to make your CSS changes?
    Can you give an example of what you’ve tried?

    Well I’m using a CustomCSS plugin, and with Firefox’s Firebug I pinpointed the element, which I’m pretty sure is <ul id=”menu-sidebar” class=”menu-widget”>

    So then in the CSS tool I’ve been doing things like

    #menu-sidebar

    {color: XXXX;}

    and variations on that

    Have you tried applying the styles to the anchor tag within the sidebar?
    E.g

    #menu-sidebar a {
     color: deeppink;
    }

    Colours and textual styles are usually applied to textual elements, not <ul>s.

    Hey that worked! Thank you so much. awesome
