Unable to change Page URL

    Ever since I started using 4.9.6, I cannot change the URL of any of the pages. I do not want my URL to be sample-page, I want it to be about. But I am not given an option to change the URL.

    The Codex shows the OLD page editing screen in screenshots so I have no way of using it to determine how I am supposed to change this permalink. No, I do not want to simply delete the old page and create a new one. I edited the sample page because I’ve *always* been able simply change the permalink for the page. Now I don’t have that option listed at all. It’s extremely frustrating.

    You have two options.

    1.) Go to Pages->All pages.
    2.) Under your ‘Sample-Page’ link, when you hover over it, it will show options like Edit, Quick Edit etc.
    3.) Click on Quick edit.
    4.) Edit slug field. In your case it is sample-page, just edit to ‘about’.
    5.) Click update.

    Make sure you enter it in lower case.

    Another option is to directly edit the url on Edit page under Page title setting. I guess this one is not working for you ?
