Unable to Add or Change a Category Name

    I’m getting the following message when I try to add a category,

    “WordPress database error: [You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ‘s Fat’, category_nicename = ’19’, category_description = ”, ca]
    UPDATE wp_categories SET cat_name = ‘The Skinny on Bink’s Fat’, category_nicename = ’19’, category_description = ”, category_parent = ‘0’ WHERE cat_ID = ’19’

    Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/binkolog/public_html/memoir/wp-includes/wp-db.php:98) in /home/binkolog/public_html/memoir/wp-admin/categories.php on line 118″

    I looked at the file mentioned above, “categories.php” and this file has not been changed. I imported my entries from MT. I don’t know if this has anything to do with the error. I was able to add categories before the import. This is my first time trying after the import. Please assist. I have searched the forums and google.com it seems no info is listed on this problem. Thanks for your assistance.

    What plugins are you using ?
    You are using 1.5 ?

    I am using 1.5. When you mentioned plugins, I did go a bit “plugin crazy” after the MT import. I have since “deactivated” all of them and was able to add a category. I will “activate” each individually to find the culprit. Thanks for the guidance. 🙂

    I’ve had problems with miniblog …… would post back and let us know which caused your problems ?
