Having exact same problem which is very frustrating. Multisite is setup and ready to go. Once adding a New Site via the Network Admin dashboard all seems fine until you try and Visit or click the Dashboard link which then directs you to Page Not found.

Hi there,
Yes, I got it fixed on mine. The paths in my .htaccess and/or wp-config files (I can’t remember if it was one or both I had to edit in the end) weren’t right. When I fixed them it started working straight away.
I’m not sure if this happened to me because I moved the index page from a directory to the main root (I like it this way because it’s a neater folder structure).

Hi Mhairi, thanks for getting back to me. What exactly did you edit in these files? Can you remember? I don’t want to change something that will effect everything and stop it working.
I’m using the subdirectory setup.

I honestly can’t remember what I changed, but it was just the paths, to make them point to the directory that WP was installed in.
If it stops working, you can just FTP the original files back up!
