Unable to add more than one address to "Email To:"

Running Version 4.0.38
If I add more than one email address to the “Email To:’ field of the form, I receive the following error:
ERROR: Misconfigured “Email To” address.
If I try the email addresses separately, they work fine, but trying to add to or more results I the same error.
I have tried the following to which I receive the same error:
myemail@domain.com;myemail2@domain.com;
myemail@domain.com;
myemail2@domain.com;MyEmail,myemail@domain.com;
MyEmail2,myemail2@domain.com;
