Unable to Activate Plugin

    I am attempting to install GiveWP for the first time on a site. Installation is no problem. But when I click to Activate, I get an error message:

    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Error thrown
Class 'Give\Container\Container' not found

    When I attempt to delete the plugin to try again, nothing happens: it isn’t deleted. I tried deleting the plugin folder on the server and try again to install, but I get the same error.

    What would cause that error?

    WordPress is up to date, version 5.5.3. All other plugins are updated. Divi theme, also latest version.

    And if I can’t install the Give plugin, what do I need to manually clean up on the server and database since I can’t delete it?
