Unable to activate Google analytics

  • Hi,
I initially have the basic message “Google Analytics is not active. You must select which Analytics Profile to track before it can work.”

    But once authenticated via google,
I’m redirected on the normal page to grant access,
answer “Yes, grant access to Yoast, etc”,
and then, I’m redirected back to my dashboard with the message “Unfortunately, an error occurred while connecting to Google, please try again:”.

And I tried and retried to re-authenticate and still have the same message.

I saw it also propose to manually enter the UI Code, but which code?
    How can I do?
    Your help would be appreciated.
    Thanks you.

  • Hey Madin,

I am not sure if you were able to fix this problem. I ran into the same issue and what I did was:

    – go to http://www.google.com/analytics
    – I had to sign in via my google account
    – there, I had to enter my website name and some other info.
    – it then generated a UA code
    – I took that code and manually entered it into the google analytics in WordPress

That took care of my problem. I hope it works for you.
