Support » Plugins » Unable to activate Bad Behavior

  • Hello,

I’m new to WordPress and I install Bad Behavior and then click Activate and I get the following message:

We’re sorry, but we could not fulfill your request for /wordpress/wp-admin/plugins.php?action=activate&plugin=bad-behavior%2Fbad-behavior-wordpress.php&plugin_status=all&paged=1&_wpnonce=b4e5f39087 on this server.

Your technical support key is: 00

You can use this key to fix this problem yourself.

If you are unable to fix the problem yourself, please contact believenchange at and be sure to provide the technical support key shown above.

I click the link in “You can use this key to fix this problem yourself” and it takes me to a window that says:

    Technical Support

The key is invalid. Click Back and try again.

Or look up a key here:

I don’t know what I’m supposed to be looking up. And finally, I find it interesting that it finally says to contact ME at my email address vs. the author of the plugin.

    Any ideas?

  • Sorry, you have not provided enough information to resolve this problem.

What is the URL of the web site on which you installed Bad Behavior?

Who is your web hosting provider?

What operating system are you running on your computer?

Who is your Internet service provider?

I am hosting the website on my MAC currently using MAMP (I am just creating it now). I’m running Mac OS Leopard and my ISP is Comcast (Broadband).

I’m following instructions about starting a blog and they’ve instructed me to add all these plugins so that is what I’m doing.
