# Unable to access update-core.php

 * I recently tried to update to the new Jetpack and had an issue. It seemed that
   the Jetpack download failed which caused be to be unable to access either my 
   wordpress admin or the site, it would give me the error “Briefly unavailable 
   for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute.” I was able to fix so that
   now the site is loading and I can access the admin panel. Yet, it seems I am 
   still unable to access the update-core.php area of my admin panel where I would
   normally do my plugin updating. Instead of reaching the desired page, I get sent
   to an error page of “Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back
   in a minute.” Does anyone have some advise on how I can get this fixed.

 * in your main directory where wordpress is installed, go to it via ftp .. (make
   sure you can see hidden files) and then see if you see a file called maintenance.
   php if so, delete it, that should fix it.

 * I had previously gone in and deleted this file but I still am not able to access
   this area of my login.
