I have a temporary page up at aprilmackwrites.com (index.html). I set up WordPress (.org) at aprilmackwrites.com/blog so that I could mess with its appearance and such without people finding it on the main page.

Once I got everything looking the way I wanted it, I tried to go into my dashboard’s settings > general, and then change the location of my blog from aprilmackwrites.com/blog to just aprilmackwrites.com so that the new site will be at the .com where people could find it easily.

I did that, but as soon as I saved the changes I can no longer access the dashboard (404 not found). The main site at aprilmackwrites.com still looks like my old temporary page, and aprilmackwrites.com/blog has the newer stuff still there, but clearly the settings are messed up because it doesn’t look right.

How do I fix this? I can’t get to my dashboard anymore. I didn’t realize this change would goof it up so much.

In the end I want my blog to be fully hosted at the .com, and the .com/blog to be deleted. How do I do that?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]
