My site is running fine but I am unable to access my dashboard today after being able to access it less than 8 hours ago. After logging in to my site’s wp-admin, it produces a blank page. I have gone through and turned off my plugins both by phpmyadmin and ftp with no luck. I have reset my browser, computer, and emptied cache and cookies. Does anyone know what else I could try to fix the problem? Thanks

  • Try:
    – switching to the default theme automatically by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and the wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    – running the upgrade manually via wp-admin/upgrade.php

I was able to fix it! Thanks for your help!

I didn’t fully understand the second part of the instructions, but the “-old” allowed me to access the dashboard, then I just deleted plugins, deleted theme and then reuploaded theme and it’s fully functional again without losing any of my work.

I am new to learning WordPress and I cannot log into my Admin account….I have tried to have a new password sent to my email account….and I never receive one and cannot log in wordpress….Please Help!
