UM Update Profile Form Button Not Working

I’m a a web dev noob but I’ll do my best to explain my issue. I made a custom profile form in UM to use for my new website and when, on a test user account, I try to edit the profile information and click the “update profile” button, the button just goes dark and nothing happens. The page doesn’t even reload and no HTTP requests can be seen even being made. Like, the button literally doesn’t do anything which largely confuses me because the “cancel” button next to it does (it reloads the account page). It’s even weirder because the default profile form [ultimatemember_account] works. Does anyone have any thoughts? Is this a bug within UM forms? Any support would be much appreciated.
