  • Could you try disabling all plugins temporarily on your site and see if that lets you log in properly.

I disabled all plugins including UM. Without UM there is no login function. I reactivated UM only, and with the login function restored I tried logging in again and received the same error message I first wrote about. I cannot log in to the site using a mobile device because UM login does not acknowledge passwords on mobile devices, and I know the password that I am entering is correct. So why is this happening. It appears that UM is causing the problem. I thought this plugin was supposed to be mobile friendly.

    Hi there @mandrew61

Firstly, I’d like to address your post (which we’ve archived, it served no purpose, and it’s content has no place here). Everyone providing support on the WordPress.org forums are volunteers, any time given you here is their own donated time.

You are asking a question about a plugin (I do not know which plugin, I found none with that name) which we may not be familiar with in a generic section of the forums. If this is a plugin from WordPress.org, you should visit that plugins page, on the right hand side you will always have a support forum button where you can ask that plugin author questions, as they are most familiar with their own code. If the plugin comes from a 3rd party site, such as a direct website, or a marketplace, they will have their own support resources you should use.

Disabling the plugin should leave you with the default WordPress login, there is no way to get rid of that, it’s built in, unless you somehow deleted core files your self, you can always access it by going to yourdomain.com/wp-login.php.
If that login works, you know it’s a plugin issue, and should be taking this up with the plugin authors directly any way, and not venting yoru anger at random users on the internet.

If you have problems with Ultimate Member, post in their forum specifically: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/ultimate-member

Posting in the main WordPress forum is unlikely to get you any support. We don’t use UM and don’t specifically know it. WordPress is free, and support is done by volunteers. Nobody is paid to help you.
