Ultimate member User role Select does not work

    Hello,

    I created a website for my courses. I need to register a student with a specific user role. Like, Now I have 3 student batches (batch-7, 8, 9). So I need to register a Student with a current Batch. It will much easier to separate 3 batched with pages. Like, I need to post courses for different batches on different pages. So I can restrict other pages from other batches.

    My problem is, When I create the Role(Dropdown) field in the Registration form, It does not show other user roles. It only shows the Subscriber role. I have 3 batches (batch-7, 8, 9) Roles. But It worked When I tried 1st time. But I reset my website and Reinstall everything properly, It does not work anymore. Role(Radio) also not working.

    Please help me!!

    Hi @uzaifrizmi,

    For security reasons the role fields are limited to UM custom roles only. Go to Ultimate Member->User Roles, inside your dashboard & check if the roles you are mentioning UM custom role or not. If not, they won’t show up. You can recreate those roles as UM custom roles from there and then Delete the role field from your UM form and re-add again which should automatically show up the newly created roles. Hope it’s clear.

    I want to keep Role ID as same as previous one. Then only it will work fine with other plugins.
    Ex: Seller role ID is “customer”. When I delete and recreate ID is “seller”. So its not working in other plugin.
    As well I couldn’t delete the Role ID Which already there. Once i delete only i can recreate with Same ID and Same Name. So its little confusing

    Hi @karbikar,

    You will need custom coding in that case. You can create a custom dropdown field listing all roles you want ( any role ), then after registration set the user role using custom role based on user selection. UM does provide hooks after registration which you can use.
