• Hi There,

I was using this plugin for a simple Irish/UK content show – it was working fine but the uk content stopped appearing. I updated to the latest version of your plugin and this continued. I got around it by setting the shortcode to EU instead, and this displays fine for uk. Just wondering if the uk country code changed or there was some funny business happening?!

    Thanks,
    Ro

    Hi Ro,

The UK country code hasn’t changed, but it’s been a long-standing issue where the plugin incorrectly uses “uk” instead of the the ISO code: “gb”.

In the latest release (today) I’ve adapted it to use ‘gb’ by default, but still retain backwards compatibility with ‘uk’.

The problem in your case may be caused by underlying network IP address and distribution changes. The latest release today also contains a db update from August 16th.

    Hope it helps.
    Paul.

    Hi Again Paul,

Hope you are well! I’ve just had a bit of odd behaviour going on with the plugin. Every couple of weeks, the content I would like to show for UK disappears. Then I change it to the ‘eu’ country code and it displays again. Then that disappears and when I change it to ‘uk’ it works! Its bizarre and i’m probably doing something silly wrong – maybe you could help if you have time? The shortcode syntax i’m using is:

    [CBC country=”ie” show=”y”]Irish Content[/CBC]
    [CBC country=”eu” show=”y”]UK Content[/CBC]

I’ve updated to the latest version of the plugin and the latest IP2Nations database. Please let me know if you know what’s going on. I’m using Geoedge to see how content displays in other countries.

Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Ro
