Support » Plugin: TinyPNG - JPEG, PNG & WebP image compression » Uhhh It jacked up my media upload process

  • Downloaded, installed, for some reason it conflicted with my theme. Uninstalled, now I can’t upload images. I Assume it altered wp-content file permissions. Not happy with all this extra work.

Thanks for the response, but the issue has been taken care of already. I uninstalled the plugin and did a fresh reinstall from a recent backup. I’m not sure what exactly caused the issue, but I am positive it was an effect from tinypng plugin alterations. to what who knows. thanks.

Good to to hear that you solved the problem! It is a very strange issue you ran into.

When you disable or uninstall the plugin, it can not affect your WordPress installation anymore. The plugin does not change file permissions and it does not affect themes in any way. Therefore it sounds like something else went wrong.

If you run into anything similar in the future, we would be happy to help you figuring out what is going wrong. We like to keep close contact with our users.
