Udating to 4.2.2 on my Customized Template

    I have been using a very customized theme (which sits on my server) and have been avoiding updating WordPress because of all of our customizations. Is there an easy way to update without destroying all of our work? I am sure this isn’t a unique issue.

    Duplicate the website into a test domain or local install and always test updates there first before updates.

    The WordPress update itself shouldn’t effect your theme… usually plugin updates break more I find……
