Support » Plugin: All In One WP Security & Firewall » Typo in lockout notification email

  • It looks like a typo in a __() call, see the last sentence:

    A lockdown event has occurred due to too many failed login attempts or invalid username:
    Username: admin
    IP Address: 62.147.152.144

    IP Range: 62.147.152.*

    Log into your site's WordPress administration panel to see the duration of the lockout or to unlock the user.','all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall

    @chesio, sorry for asking but I could not see the typo error? Could you please share the typo error with me?

    Thank you

    I did not check the source, but it reads:

    Log into your site's WordPress administration panel to see the duration of the lockout or to unlock the user.','all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall

    It looks like:

    _e("Log into your site's WordPress administration panel to see the duration of the lockout or to unlock the user.','all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall");

    this will print the line with the extra part: ','all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall")
    while:

    _e('Log into your site's WordPress administration panel to see the duration of the lockout or to unlock the user.','all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall');

    would print:

    Log into your site's WordPress administration panel to see the duration of the lockout or to unlock the user.

    and this would also be translated.

    Thank you @opajaap for sharing this with me. I should clean my glasses next time 🙂

    Kind regards

    Just to make sure:

    _e('Log into your site's WordPress administration panel to see the duration of the lockout or to unlock the user.','all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall');

    This ^^ would result in a non-translatable string!

    If you’re using single apostrophes in the sentence to be translated, you have to wrap it in double quotes:

    _e("Log into your site's WordPress administration panel to see the duration of the lockout or to unlock the user.",'all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall');
