Two Thusand and Fourteen page color

    I am using a child theme.
    I have tried 

    body.page-id-62 #main {

background-color: #d81106 !important;
}

    to alter the background color of the page I am using as my front static page, but I get a white margin around the content. I want to eliminate the white margin.

    I used Zedity plugin to create a red background around the image. but the space between the image and its background and the page background still resist my coding efforts.
