• Hi

Is it possible to display two themes please? I want non-registered users to see a simple site with just a few pages describing what is happening here. Then a second theme for logged in users to see all posts etc.

    Thanks

    Rich

  • The theme does not control which pages logged in and non-logged in users see. You want a membership plugin or something similar.

Thanks for the reply. I am not sure that I asked for the right help. Your answer clarified that for me. Thanks.

Basically, I have posts that I only want logged in users to see. I made all posts private but then the site shows no categories or tags or post count which I want to display. So I installed a members plugin and sure enough that hid the post information and still showed categories, tags, etc.

However, the member plugin did not hide the custom fields content. Is it possible to display custom field content only if logged in as a certain user level please?

    Thanks

    Two things here:

I have never used custom fields before, but after looking it up in the Codex, it seems like it should be possible.

Second, I don’t know which membership plugin you are using, or which theme you are using, but if the membership plugin uses a custom php function or css class to hide content, it seems that you should be able to wrap those custom fields in your theme in order to hide them from non-logged in users.

I am really reaching here, but it seems possible.

Your query has caused to experiment with custom fields. Thank you. It looks very promising.

Which membership plugin are you using, btw?
