Support » Plugin: Woo Custom Emails Per Product » Two Questions

  • I have 2 questions:

    1) I have a bunch of custom emails (love your plugin) but it leaves a giant space in between each one in the email. There is the normal blurb in my confirmed order emails that has each section spaced evenly, but then when it adds the messages from the custom emails, it has a giant gap.

    If you want, I can forward you an example of what it looks like. It looks worse on a mobile then a desktop, but its still ridiculous. I am not great with html but can get by. Maybe you can take a look at one of my custom emails and see what I am doing wrong? Here is an example:

    <table style=”background-color: #fff; margin: 0 auto; border-radius: 5px; padding: 20px; border-spacing: 0;” width=”800″>
    <tbody>
    <tr>
    <td align=”center”>
    <h2 style=”margin: 0; font-weight: bold; font-size: 30px; padding: 20px; color: white; background-color: #960a01; text-align: center; font-family: ‘Roboto’, Arial !important;”>Plinko Template</h2>
    <p style=”margin: 0; padding: 20px; font-size: 20px; color: #444; text-align: center; font-family: ‘Roboto’, Arial !important;”>We have attached a Template in this email along with
    some ideas on how to label the spots where the chips land.
    These are based on past customers Stag & Doe’s,
    but customize it the way you want!</p>
    <p style=”margin: 0; padding: 20px; font-size: 20px; color: #444; text-align: center; font-family: ‘Roboto’, Arial !important;”>This Template is the exact dimension of the bottom of board,
    so print and cut the template out in advance.
    Use Painters Tape to tape your template
    to the bottom of the board once you receive it.</p>
    </td>
    </tr>
    </tbody>
    </table>

    2) Is there a way to run a report to see which products have a custom email? I have hundreds of products, and I want to make sure I didn’t miss any. But I would rather not open up each one, one by one, to check. Let me know!

    Hi @jackofallspades,

    Thanks for using my plugin!

    Also, thank you for these great questions. Here are my answers:

    1) What location are you assigning for the Custom Message?
    I know during the Custom Email Message output, I’ve added a couple line breaks to help separate the Custom Message content from the rest of the default email content — I found that when putting content in some of the content locations, a break was needed or else the content runs right into the rest of the purchase details, and the message becomes lost.
    The email client you’re viewing the email with could also be adding extra bottom padding or margin to the table (each client displays emails slightly differently).

    2) This is not currently built into the plugin, but I think this is a great idea. I’ll be sure to add this as a Feature Request on GitHub so I can include this in a future release.

    Thanks again and good luck using Woo Custom Emails Per Product!

    1) I have it set to go right after the customer details (or is it before?). I don’t have order tables in my emails, so this was my only other option.

    2) Thanks

    3) Also – is there a way to show more than one custom email? Like if a product is in their order, that I can have 2 different messages appear?

    1) Ok, thanks.

    2) No problem!

    3) Please see this thread:

    3) At this time there is only a 1:1 connection between a product and one message. I may be able to add the ability to add multiple messages in a future release.

    Thanks!

    Oh I hope so!! This would simplify my life so much. Thanks again for all of your help, and keep up the great work 🙂
