# Two multisites are using same BD wrongly

 * I started a multisite first at /rio to test things out. When it was done I moved
   it to the root, and then I cloned it again to /rio
 * The thing is I need a / installation for a select city page for my sites…
 * I also create /paulista for another one and this is fine.
 * so i started editing / and realized that the /rio was being edited at the same
   time.
 * when I click on the site selection button I see the names are different, but 
   when I Select either of them the names are identical even thou the folders are
   different.
 * So I think I forgot to change something on the DB when I moved it down from /
   rio to / and the fact that I created a new /rio linked them somehow…
 * Any ideas?

 * Moving out of Multisite, as these are separate installs.
 * Check the wp-config.php file and make sure you’re using the right DB names and
   prefixes for each separate site.

 * i want to use multisite, my third multisite works just fine and its not linked
   to the other one…

 * I think you need to do a search and replace in your posts and post meta for the
   root url. e.g. search for [http://limetimehostels.com/rio/](http://limetimehostels.com/rio/)
   and replace with [http://limetimehostels.com/](http://limetimehostels.com/)
 * **Using the Permalink reset or changing the WordPress url does not change the
   link or image urls used in posts and needs to be done manually**
 * **These are instructions for multisite in your case, but it may not be worth 
   it for 2 sites, but it’s up to you**
 * Ok. You need to follow the instructions on the WordPress.org website for setting
   up multisite with the root blog.
 * Then you need to create a WordPress export file for each other website. You need
   to import these into the main blog. You may need to do a search and replace on
   the database as for some reason the issues regarding image importing still haven’t
   been fully fixed (they will import over, but will still link to the old address).
   Don’t give the new sites the same url as the old ones or you won’t be able to
   import images, as the WordPress Mod Rewrite will stop you accessing the actual
   folder on the server and will give you the WordPress virtual one.
