It’s hard to tell without knowing how your site is set up. Can you try changing the action box on the page and see if both action boxes change too?

MAB works by attaching the boxes at the end of calls to “the_content()” function in wordpress. normally, there is only one of these calls on a page. This becomes a problem when there are multiple calls to “the_content()” function which I think is what is happening.
The footer on your site, is the content editable? how do you edit the content for the footer?
One way of checking my theory is to install this https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-share-buttons-adder/ and enable the share buttons on that page. see if you get double buttons

I installed the Simple Share buttons, and indeed it shows up twice.
I discovered that there’s a setting in the template I am using that lets me override the footer settings.
For some reason having it on, the footer the content repeats itself.
Do you have a suggestion which file I should look into to possibly discover the issue? I have basic php knowledge.

First file to look would be the footer.php file 😉
after that, it could be anywhere. Best place to ask would be the theme author
