Support » Fixing WordPress » two index pages? or simulating it?

  • I am wanting to put a blog in two spots. One actual page for a blog, and an excerpt of the same blog on my front/homepage. I was thinking a way to do this was to make a category for every blog post, then put that category on the front page along with a “get_template_part” for all my other front page information. However, if I did this, I would not want users to be able to click on this particular category (the one intended to simply put excerpts on the front page), within the categories section, in a widget. Is there an easy way to exclude categories from a category widgidized area?

Or s there a better way to do this?
