# Two folders same install

 * I wish to have my home page and my blog in two separate folders ie the root home
   and /blog but using the same WP install. Is this possible?

 * I followed the instrctions but when I created a test post. It shows up on the
   front page as well as the /blog/ url.
 * I want the front page to remain static.

 * I have done that but the last part has me confused
 * “NOTE: If Permalinks are not enabled, go to Settings > Permalinks and enable 
   them as a page address of /index.php?p=423 defeats the purpose of making a static
   front page. “
 * I don’t understand what this is meant to mean.
