Report from Codestyling Localization plugin (I would like to translate this theme):

Loading Issue: Author is using load_textdomain instead of load_theme_textdomain or load_child_theme_textdomain function. This may break behavior of WordPress, because some filters and actions won’t be executed anymore. Please contact the Author about that.

Naming Issue: Author uses unsupported language file naming convention! Instead of example de_DE.po the non theme standard version omega-de_DE.po has been used. If you translate this Theme, only renamed language files will be working!

    1. load_child_theme_textdomain is used to translate ‘hybrid-core’ libraries inside the theme. It’s a false alarm that you can ignore.

    2. yes your translation file should begin with your textdomain (in this case, omega). I’d suggest copy and rename omega-en_EN.po to omega-de_DE.po and use POEdit to do the translation
