 * WP fires off a notification made by me in BNFW when a new bbpress user registers.
   But it also sends the default notification as well so the user gets two different
   notifications. How do I restrict it so it just sends the BNFW notification?
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Ftwo-different-notifications-received%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)

 * Hi [@markfluk](https://wordpress.org/support/users/markfluk/),
   Thanks for your
   message.
 * This is most likely caused by the bbPress plugin as it’s not possible to add
   100% compatibility with BNFW – it’s proven tricky to make it work in the past.

   You may wish to reach out to bbPress to see if there’s a hook you can use to
   disable their notification (without disabling the entire function within WordPress)
   so that BNFW can handle this notification for you.
 * Let me know how you get on.

 * Thank you. I will ask the question in the bbPress support forum.

 * Never did resolve this until I switched to the Simple Membership plugin.

 * Hi [@markfluk](https://wordpress.org/support/users/markfluk/),
 * Ah, sorry to hear that. I hope you find a good solution for you.
 * If you want to try BNFW again in the future, I’d be happy to answer any questions
   you may have.
